Our Philosophy

We have a team approach to weight loss. The patient is the most important member of the team. The patient’s motivation, discipline, and drive to attain a healthy weight are the key to success. In conjunction with the weight loss procedure, a commitment to a healthy diet and lifestyle that includes regular physical activity is important for success. Therefore, we will arrange for the patient to see a dietitian to provide advice and sample menus for a healthy diet. Ongoing follow-up with a dietitian will be important after the procedure. We will also arrange for the patient to be evaluated by a personal trainer to develop an exercise plan tailored to the needs of the patient.

About our practice

Since 1992, our practice offers three minimally invasive endoscopic weight loss (bariatric) procedures. These include endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) or accordion procedure; endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty after gastric sleeve surgery, also known as endoscopic revision after gastric sleeve surgery for patients that have previously undergone gastric sleeve surgery; and endoscopic revision after gastric bypass for patients that have previously undergone gastric bypass surgery. Detailed information about the procedures is available under the Procedures tab.
